DP&L scrubber enters service at 615 MW plant
Black & Veatch and Dayton Power & Light Co. said the largest CT-121 wet flue gas desulfurization system project in North America has started up at Unit 2 of the 615 MW Killen Station in Ohio.

PG&E signs agreement with Solel for 553 MW of solar power
Pacific Gas and Electric Company said that it has entered into a landmark renewable energy agreement with Solel-MSP-1 to purchase renewable energy from the Mojave Solar Park, to be constructed in California's Mojave Desert.

Westinghouse to build four nuclear power plants in China
Westinghouse Electric has won the right to build four nuclear power plants in China and to transfer technology for its newest reactor to a Chinese partner, a cost of gaining a foothold in the country's fast-growing industry.

Endesa given go ahead for 420 MW plant in Lucy, France
The French arm of Spanish utility Endesa has received permission from the Montceau les Mines town council in France to build a 420 MW combined cycle gas turbine plant on land at the site of its Lucy thermal plant in Burgundy.

Curtiss-Wright reaches agreement on commercial nuclear power contracts
Curtiss-Wright Corp. said that it has signed an agreement with State Nuclear Power Technology Corp. (SNPTC) and has reached an agreement in principle with Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC to provide reactor coolant pumps for four AP1000 Generation III+ commercial nuclear power plants to be built in China.

Enel and Saudi Arabia sign green technologies deal
Enel and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority have signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate the introduction of advanced environmentally friendly technologies in Saudi Arabia and launch joint R&D projects in the energy sector.

Mitsubishi celebrates Indonesian oil-to-gas repowering order
Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has received a full-turnkey order from PT. PLN (Persero), Indonesia's state-owned electricity company, for a repowering project to convert an aged oil-fired power plant to a natural gas-fired gas turbine combined-cycle (GTCC) plant.

PG&E buys Oregon wind power
Pacific Gas and Electric Co. said it has entered into a 15-year agreement with PPM Energy to purchase renewable wind energy from the company's Klondike III Wind Project in Sherman County, Ore.

Westinghouse Electric Company said it has signed an agreement to purchase IST Nuclear (ISTN).

Six companies have been shortlisted in the tender process for a strategic investor in the construction and operation of a second nuclear plant in Bulgaria, the National Electricity Company has announced.
