Degussa Antwerpen, E.ON and Electrabel to build cogeneration units at chemicals facility
Chemicals producer Degussa Antwerpen, E.ON and Electrabel have signed an agreement for the construction and operation of cogeneration units located on the site of Degussa's chemical plant in the port of Antwerp.

Ontario approves a pair of 10 MW solar projects
Pod Generating Group announced a pair of 10 MW solar projects in conjunction with the Ontario Power Authority.

Vogt Power to supply HRSG to IGCC
Vogt Power International Inc. was selected by Southern Power to supply the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and associated equipment for the Orlando Utilities Commission, Curtis H. Stanton Energy Center, in Orlando, Fla.

Coal plant application rejected
The Oklahoma Corporation Commission rejected a request from utilities that they be allowed to move ahead with plans to build a coal-fired power plant in northern Oklahoma. By a 2-1 vote, the regulatory commission turned down the request from Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co., American Electric-Power Service Company of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority. The plant was estimated to cost about $1.8 billion.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commission today rejected a request to build a coal-fired power plant in Red Rock, Okla.
