NRG Energy, Inc. completed the sale of the Red Bluff and Chowchilla II power plants to an entity controlled by Wayzata Investment Partners LLC for an undisclosed sum.

Legal moves cast doubt on Egat privatization
The privatization of Thailand's state electricity company Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) looks less likely in the short term following pressure to nullify the recent privatization of PTT (formerly known as the Petroleum Authority of Thailand). It is also unlikely that plans to privatize the Provincial Electricity Authority and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority will now proceed.

Vestas secures US order for 56 wind turbines
Leading wind turbine manufacturer Vestas announced today that it has received an order from Enel North America for 56 units of V80-1.80 MW wind turbines.
