Taiwan Power upgrades hydro station digital controls
Taiwan Power Co. has chosen Invensys to install I/A Series distributed control systems for a hydro power generation and pumped storage automation upgrade project.

GE selected to service Exelon's nuclear fleet
GE Energy has signed a contractual parts agreement with Exelon Nuclear of Warrenville, Illinois, US, servicing a fleet of boiling water reactor (BWR) nuclear units.

JBIC signs loan for Mexican power plant
The Japan Bank for International Cooperation has signed a loan agreement for the construction of a 648 MW coal-fired power plant with Carboelectrica Diamante, S.A. de C.V., a Mexican corporation owned by Mitsubishi.

ConocoPhillips to expand UK's largest CHP station
ConocoPhillips will invest approximately $400 million to expand the capacity at its Immingham Combined Heat and Power plant in the United Kingdom from 730 MW to 1,180 MW.

Cormetech Inc. has been awarded a contract by Alstom Power Sweden AB to supply selective catalytic reduction catalyst to be installed at the Tejo Energia Pego Power Plant in Portugal.

PSO contracts more wind power
Public Service Co. of Oklahoma, a unit of American Electric Power, will receive up to 94.5 MW of Oklahoma wind-generated electricity under terms of a 25-year purchase power agreement.
