Sierra Pacific plans $3bn coal plant and transmission project
Sierra Pacific Resources said Monday it planned to move forward with the development of a 1500 MW coal-fired power complex in White Pine County, located in eastern Nevada and an approximately 250-mile transmission line linking the northern and southern parts of the state.

KOSEP select Emerson plant automation for Seoul facility
Emerson Process Management has been awarded a $13m contract to install its PlantWeb digital plant architecture in Units 3 and 4 of the supercritical Yonghung Thermal Power Plant owned by Korea South East Power Co. (KOSEP) that serves the Seoul metropolitan area and surrounding cities.
