Power Machines wins orders for Tadjikistan hydropower plant
Russia's Power Machines has won a tender and signed a contract worth $80m for supply of the main power generating equipment for Sangtudinskaya-1 hydropower plant being built in Tadjikistan.

Illinois plant to use GE IGCC technology
Independent power developer the Erora Group of Louisville, Kentucky, has signed a license agreement with GE Energy, authorizing the use of GE's gasification technology for a proposed power generating station near Taylorville in Christian County, Illinois.

American Superconductor Corporation has received an order for two D-VAR voltage regulation systems from Lake Bonney Wind Power Pty Ltd. (LBWP), through its operator, National Power Company, an independent renewable energy project developer based in San Francisco and Sydney.
