Foster Wheeler Energia, S.A. (FWESA), has won a $7.6m order from Endesa, Spain's largest utility, to proceed with the supply of new low-NOx burners and to upgrade the mill classifiers on Units 4 and 5 at Endesa's Compostilla II power plant in Spain.

South Jersey extends contract with FPL Energy Power Marketing
South Jersey Resources Group has extended its contract to supply fuel management services to FPL Energy Power Marketing, Inc.'s Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania cogeneration facility. The 750-MW facility serves the Sunoco refinery and produces electricity to sell into the marketplace.

Wisconsin Power and Light details generation plan
Wisconsin Power and Light Company announced new details of its utility supply plan for the 2006-2013 time period. Korea awards first turnkey power plant contract to foreign company
Siemens has become the first foreign company to be awarded a turnkey power plant contract in South Korea. It is set to build a 560 MW combined cycle facility at the head of a consortium that includes GS Engineering & Construction.

India inaugurates first unit of major hydro project
The first turbine and generator set at the 520 MW Omkareshwar hydroelectric power plant in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has been inaugurated at a ceremony held by Voith Siemens Hydro and the project's owner.

Turkey is to build its first nuclear power plant on the coast of the Black Sea after the government announced its selection ahead of eight other contenders.

EPOD to build 5-MW solar panel factory
EPOD International Inc. announced the company's intent to construct a 5-MW solar panel manufacturing facility in Kelowna, British Columbia. An estimated two MW of production capacity is anticipated to be available within six months, with the annual capacity of the plant projected to be 5 MW upon completion.
