Chevron, Keenan to build $100 million secure energy facility
Chevron Corp. and Keenan Development will build and operate a $100 million central utility plant to provide secure energy to the National Interagency Biodefense Campus.

U.S. Geothermal Inc. signed a $4.6 million renewable energy credit purchase and sale agreement encompassing the first 10 years of Phase 1 of the Raft River geothermal project.

Siemens Power Generation (PG) will outfit the Waigaoqiao 3 and Daihai coal-fired power plants with cutting-edge instrumentation & controls (I&C) systems. These projects involve implementation of the Siemens Power Plant Automation-T3000 (SPPA-T300), world's first fourth-generation I&C system.

AREVA to replace reactor vessel heads for PG&E plant
AREVA has received a contract from Pacific Gas & Electric Co., based in San Francisco, Calif., US, for two replacement reactor vessel heads at the Diablo Canyon Power Plant Units One and Two.

Active Power systems chosen for Asian airport
Active Power, manufacturer and distributor of backup power solutions announced Tuesday that it will provide 4 MW of power systems to support the air bridge infrastructure and service two main terminals at a major international airport being constructed in Asia.

Vestas receives offshore order for 120 MW in the Netherlands
The Vestas Group has received an order for an offshore wind power plant with a total capacity of 120 MW. The project consists of 60 units of the V80-2.0 MW wind turbine, and the wind power plant will be located in the North Sea, 12 nautical miles off the Dutch coast.

Mirant secures power contract with PG&E
Mirant Corporation announced today that it has signed two contracts with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to provide electricity from its natural gas fired Pittsburg and Contra Costa power plants located near San Francisco, California.
