AES to install emission controls at Westover plant in NY
AES Westover, a 126 MW coal-fired facility near Binghamton, New York, US, will begin installation of multi-emissions control technology on its 84 MW Unit #8 in early 2007.

Midwest Gen, Illinois governor agree on mercury reduction plan
Independent power producer Midwest Generation announced a plan that will begin reducing mercury emissions from its power plants 18 months ahead of federal regulations, followed by multi-year programs to further cut other emissions.

WOW Energies reduces over 50% of CO2 from flue gases
WOW Energy, Inc announced that its WOWClean pilot plant has demonstrated CO2 greenhouse gas reductions ranging from 25 percent to 85 percent from flue gases in two U.S. plants.
