Aker Kvaerner to sell Pulping and Power businesses to Metso
Aker Kvaerner announced Wednesday it had signed a letter of intent to sell its pumping and power businesses to Metso for around NOK 3bn ($448m).

Fortum and E.ON agree on E.ON Finland shares
E.ON Nordic AB and Fortum have signed an agreement according to which Fortum acquires all the 10 246 565 E.ON Finland Oyj shares currently held by E.ON Nordic. This corresponds to 65.56 per cent of the shares and the voting rights of the company.

Toshiba signs to buy Westinghouse for $5.4bn
British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL) and the Toshiba Corporation have signed a $5.4bn contract that will see the Japanese company assume ownership of Westinghouse Electric Company.
