Iran agrees $1bn funding for Iraq energy reconstruction
Iraq's Minister of Electricity Dr Muhsen Shlash said Iran has allocated $1bn toward the reconstruction of war-torn Iraq. He said the funds arising from the credit facility will be mainly spent on infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy industry.

Dabhol restart will take a year
The 2184 MW Dabhol Power Plant could be restarted in one year provided all the legal and financial formalities were completed and the plant was handed over to the NTPC-GAIL-promoted Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), NTPC chairman and managing director C P Jain said.
