EDF and AEM secure Edison
Electricité de France (EDF) and Milan utility AEM have agreed to buy Italy's second largest producer of electricity Edison for €7.28bn ($9.2bn).

US utilities Duke and Cinergy to merge
Two US power and gas utilities Duke Energy and Cinergy announced on Monday a merger that will create an energy giant with 5.4 million retail customers across the US, Canada and Latin America.

MicroPlanet completes merger
