Scales tipping in UK's carbon emissions balancing act
The UK is in danger of missing out on carbon abatement opportunities if it fails to encourage a balance between renewable energy and cleaning up its existing energy portfolio, according to Dr. Mike Farley, MitsuiBabcock's director of technology policy liaison. MitsuiBabcock claim that wind power is six times more expensive than supercritical retrofit in delivering equivalent CO2 reductions.
