Edison sells stake in Contact Energy
Edison Mission Energy and its parent Edison International that EME had entered into an agreement to sell its 51.2 per cent holding in Contact Energy Ltd. to Origin Energy for NZ$5.67 per share, or total consideration of NZ$1674.7m, which includes the assumption of NZ$535m of indebtedness. EME will receive approximately $750m at current exchange rates.
