China Energy Savings Technology, Inc has filed a listing application with the Nasdaq to move from the OTC Bulletin Board to the Nasdaq National Market.

ALE acquires Alstom heavy transport division
UK-based Abnormal Load Engineering Limited (ALE) has completed the acquisition of Distribution Services Division (DSD) from Alstom Power Service UK. DSD provide general and heavy transportation, heavy lifting, shipping and forwarding services for the power, electricity transmission, manufacturing and related industries.

Black & Veatch and Uhde announce clean coal project alliance
Black & Veatch Corporation and German engineering group Uhde GmbH have announced the formation of an alliance in the field of coal gasification technology.

Dynegy sell more minority assets
Dynegy Inc. has completed the sale of its 50 per cent interest in the 310 MW Commonwealth Power Generation Facility in Chesapeake, Va., to Dominion Virginia Power. The subsidiary of Dominion will pay approximately $15m.

Dominion closes 80 MW Virginia plant deal
Dominion Virginia Power, the electric utility subsidiary of Dominion on Monday closed on the purchase of an approximately 80 MW, wood-burning electric generating facility in Pittsylvania County, Va.

Energy Savings acquires Canadian deregulated customers from EPCOR
Energy Savings Income Fund has acquired Alberta long term fixed price contracts equating to approximately 45 000 residential customer equivalents ("RCEs") of deregulated gas customers and 90 000 RCEs of deregulated electricity customers aggregated by EPCOR with an average of 2 years remaining on their contracts.

Siemens to table formal bid for VA Tech
German industrial group Siemens will table a formal bid for Austrian power technology firm VA Tech on 6 December. The announced bid price is €55 per share, around €3 below the current VA Tech share price.

Iberdrola maintains EDP stake
Iberdrola has decided to take part in the capital increase of Energias de Portugal, S.A. (EDP), after EDP on 7th October approved issuing shares to finance the purchase of a 56.2 per cent additional stake in Hidroeléctrica del Cantábrico.

Abengoa, Furnas-Cemig consortium win transmission bidding
Spanish engineering company Abengoa and the Transleste 2 consortium of Brazilian companies won the auctions that Brazil's electricity regulator Aneel held on the São Paulo stock exchange Thursday for the construction and 30-year operating licenses of transmission lines, according to a report from Business News Americas.

VA Tech await clarification of Siemens takeover
The managing board of VA Tech AG has said that it expects a "fast clarification" of the issues regarding the planned takeover of the group by Siemens.
