At the 2003 Grove Symposium, the US Fuel Cell Council will release details of its new "Testing Protocol" for composite bipolar plates - the first of several testing protocols under development by the organization.

US fuel cell firms industry stronger but not yet profitable says PWC
The North American fuel cell industry enjoyed a 71 per cent increase in revenues to $219m in 2002, up from $128m in 2001. But according to PricewaterhouseCoopers 2003 Fuel Cell Industry Survey, the industry also experienced significant operational losses as heavy spending on research and development (R&D) continued in moving fuel cell technology towards commercialisation.

American Superconductor receives DOE funding
American Superconductor Corporation announced Thursday that it has received a funding award of up to $2.5m from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), as part of the US Department of Energy's (DOE) Superconductivity Program in the Office of Electric Transmission & Distribution.

DOE to fund Wyoming grid storage study
