RWE Innogy expands wind farm portfolio in Spain

6 January 2009 - Through its Spanish subsidiary Agrupació Energías Renovables S.A.U. (AERSA), RWE Innogy GmbH has acquired a 23.75 per cent stake in the Spanish wind farm operator, Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas, S.L.

With this acquisition, RWE Innogy increased its overall share of the company to 45 per cent. Explotaciones Eólicas de Aldehuelas operates a wind farm with an installed capacity of 47.2 MW in the Spanish province of Castile-Léon near the city of Soria.

RWE Innogy is taking over the shares of the wind farm developer Preneal which is based in Madrid.
