27 June 2008 -- Entergy Louisiana LLC said it needs to replace two steam generators and other equipment at its Waterford 3 nuclear power plant northwest of New Orleans. The estimated $511 million project would not be done before 2011, given the long lead time needed for some of the equipment.

The 1,075 MW plant entered service in 1985 and accounts for about 25 percent of the power generated by Entergy in Louisiana.
