Dynegy sells gas-fired plant

Dynegy Inc. said that it will sell the Rolling Hills Power Generation Facility, a simple-cycle peaking plant located in Ohio, to a unit of Tenaska Capital Management LLC for $368 million ($451/kW) in cash.

The 815 MW Rolling Hills plant is a natural gas-fired peaking facility that began commercial operation in 2003.

The sale must be approved by federal, state and permitting agencies and is expected to close in the third quarter 2008.
