Honeywell, Wood Group roll out turbine control system

20 May 2008 -- Honeywell said it joined with Wood Group Turbine Control Services to offer a turbine control system that, in conjunction with the Experion Process Knowledge System, is designed to automate power plants.

Honeywell and the Wood Group said their turbine control technology is intended to combine process control and automation of plant subsystems with support services to control boiler, turbine and balance-of-plant operations. The Experion Process Knowledge System is said to enable integration with business applications, advanced control applications and safety and security systems.
