26 March 2008 -- WorleyParsons was awarded a contract with Southern Company Services to provide professional detail design services for the retrofit of selective catalytic reactor (SCR) and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems at Georgia Power's Plant Scherer generating facility.

WorleyParsons is also providing, under a separate contract, construction management services in support of an FGD Retrofit Project at Georgia Power's Plant Wansley generating facility.
