Carbon capture technology selected for Basin Electric coal station

13 March 2008 -- Basin Electric Power Cooperative selected Powerspan's CO2 capture technology for a commercial demonstration at its coal-fired Antelope Valley Station in North Dakota. The companies estimate that one million tons of CO2 will be captured annually from the 120 MW slipstream project. The captured CO2 will be fed into an existing CO2 compression and pipeline system owned by Basin Electric's Dakota Gasification Co.
