31 December 2007 - Greek electricity utility Public Power Corporation has specified the major areas of consideration in its planned memorandum of understanding with German utility major RWE, according to Thomson Financial, which cited an official company release.
Public Power Corporation (PPC) stated that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) will facilitate the building of two 800 MW coal-fired power plants and the purchase of two used gas turbines. The MoU also details cooperation in natural gas development and renewable energy, said Thomson Financial.
According to the publication, PPC would also examine proposals for cooperation from other energy firms while it does not seek any strategic partner.
