Invenergy secures 800 MW of wind turbines

19 November 2007 -- Invenergy Wind LLC said it has contracted with General Electric to purchase an additional 800 MW of wind turbines for projects slated for construction in 2009 in North America and Europe. This addition will result in 2,100 MW of wind turbines for Invenergy's 2007, 2008 and 2009 build programs. These turbines are slated for Invenergy's projects in the US, Canada and Europe.

Invenergy Wind currently has 13 facilities with more than 1,200 MW of wind energy projects in operation and construction in the US and Europe.
