TXU completed its merger with Texas Energy Future Holdings Limited Partnership (TEF). TEF is led by a group of investors including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., Texas Pacific Group and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners.

TXU Corp. has changed its name to Energy Future Holdings Corp. Shares of TXU common stock will be delisted. Lehman Brothers, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley became equity investors at closing.
