GE Energy to supply SkyPower with 200 wind turbines

(02 October 2007) GE Energy said it will provide Canadian wind energy developer SkyPower Corp. with 200 wind turbines for renewable energy projects across North America. The 1.5-MW GE machines will have the capacity to produce of 300 MW of wind-generated electricity.

The agreement between GE Energy and SkyPower has been valued at approximately $400 million. Delivery of the 200 turbines has been slated for 2009.
