Ontario approves a pair of 10 MW solar projects

Pod Generating Group announced the award of their first two Standard Offer Contracts with the Ontario Power Authority (OPA), according to a local report. The pair of 10 MW solar projects will connect to local utility PUC distribution. The facilities represent the largest renewable project that can be connected to a local distribution system within the OPA's Standard Offer Program guidelines. Together, the two facilities represent an investment of over CAD$100 million dollars. The two solar facilities are scheduled to be operational by the end of 2008.
