California Republican Party Unanimously Supports Nuclear Power

In a unanimous Sunday morning vote, hundreds of members of the California Republican Party agreed to work to end the state's 31-year ban on the construction of new nuclear power plants. The initiative must now garner 433,971 voter signatures to be placed on the June 2008 ballot.
