Dominion closes sale of three facilities to Tenaska Power Fund

6 March 2007 -- Dominion and announced today that it has completed the sale of three natural gas-fired generation facilities to an entity jointly owned by Tenaska Power Fund, L.P., and an affiliate of Warburg Pincus LLC. Dominion intends to use proceeds to reduce debt.

The facilities are:

  • Pleasants, a 313-MW facility in St. Mary's, West Virginia
  • Armstrong, a 625-megawatt facility in Shelocta, Pennsylvania
  • Troy, a 600-megawatt facility in Luckey, Ohio

The Pleasants and Armstrong plants are positioned to deliver power to the PJM energy grid; the Troy plant serves the Midwest ISO energy grid. Credit Suisse Securities LLC advised Dominion on the transaction.
