REpower supplies ten turbines for Japanese wind farm

27 February 2007 - REpower Systems has won the right to supply of ten wind turbines of the 60 Hz MM82 to the Japanese prefecture Hyogo on the island of Honshu.

The deal will involve REpower installing a whole wind farm consisting of MM82 turbines in Japan for the first time. In addition, there is an option on two further turbines.

The project developer is Kanden Energy Development, and REpower's client is Kajima Corporation, one of the biggest building companies worldwide, headquartered in Tokyo and with around 11,000 employees. The beginning of the installation is scheduled for the end of this year, completion is planned for the first half-year of 2008.
