January 12 2007 - The Polish government wants to postpone the full liberalisation of the natural gas market required by the European Union in July 2007 at least until the end of 2010.

Deputy economy minister Piotr Naimski said the full liberalisation should be preceded by diversification of sources of gas imported to Poland. Currently, the access of corporate customers to providers is liberalised, while households are to be able to freely pick natural gas and electrical energy providers as July 2007.
