AREVA signs agreement to supply components to Millstone Unit 3

11 January 2007 -- AREVA has finalized an agreement with Dominion Generation to supply 61 HARMONI Rod Cluster Control Assemblies (RCCAs) for Millstone Unit 3 located in Waterford, Conn. The RCCAs will be fabricated at AREVA's manufacturing facility in Lynchburg, Va., with delivery of the first 31 RCCAs in 2008, followed by the remaining 30 in 2010.

"We are pleased to have this opportunity to provide high quality components that provide reliable plant performance through a design that offers long-life and wear resistance," said John Matheson, AREVA NP Inc. Senior Vice President of nuclear fuels. "With this order, Dominion Generation joins several other U.S. utilities who have chosen AREVA replacement RCCAs for their plants."

Approximately 4,500 HARMONI RCCAs have been delivered to utilities operating 93 PWRs in nine countries worldwide. Inspections of HARMONI RCCAs confirms the product's performance, with no wear detected.
