HF Controls awarded $17 mln South Korean contract

6 December 2006 -- HF Controls Corp., a subsidiary of Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, has received a contract valued at over $17 million from Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) to provide two digital plant control systems.

The ECS-1200 platform for non-safety and the HFC6000 for Class 1E Safety Related Controls will be supplied on two new 1,000 MWe Nuclear Power Plants at the Shin Wolsong facilities located in South Korea.

This contract award, coupled with the Shin Kori contract awarded to HFC in March 2006, solidifies HFC's dominance in the Korean nuclear market as the premiere digital control system provider. Over the next 4 years, HFC will supply over 250 control cabinets fully integrated for these two projects.
