4 December 2006 -- Constellation Energy announced that its subsidiary, Constellation NewEnergy, has signed a 17-month fixed price power supply contract with the Flowline Division of Markovitz Enterprises, Inc.
The electricity supply contract runs through May 2008 for Flowline's New Castle, Pa., location in the Penn Power service territory. Flowline produces corrosion-resistant butt-weld fittings and flanges in both standard and exotic materials and also has heat treatment, forming and machining capabilities.
"As we considered the Dec. 31, 2006, rate cap expiration and the Jan. 1 utility rate increases in the Penn Power service territory, we knew it was important for us to choose an electricity supplier with the same dedication to customer satisfaction as we have for our customers," said Anthony Bartley, treasurer of Flowline. "With their fixed price product, Constellation NewEnergy was able to meet both our savings goal and our stability needs, and we felt confident signing a contract with North America's leading competitive energy supplier."
