27 September 2006 -- Power Machines, in consortium with Siemens, signed a contract to modernize two power units with capacity of 300 MW each at the Agios Dimitrios TPP in Greece.
The Power Public Corp. of Greece is the project customer. With the contract's total price of 42 million euros, Power Machines will do work worth more than 22 million euros.
Power Machines will modernize medium and low pressure cylinders of two turbines, auxiliary power units, (delivered together with Energico OY of Finland), waste-heat recovery systems of combustion gases and will carry out dismantling of the outdated equipment and assembly of the new equipment together with OJSC "Tsentroenergomontazh" (Republic of Belarus). Siemens will modernize generating equipment, regulating systems and turbines high pressure cylinders.
Equipment supply for modernization of the first power unit is to start in July 2007 and for the second power unit in December 2007. In terms of the contract, the commissioning of the updated power station shall take place in spring 2008.
