MQ Power expands with new texas plant

23 September 2006 -- MQ Power has opened a new 180,000-square-foot portable generator assembly plant in Lewisville, Texas, about 20 miles northwest of Dallas. MQ Power has existing facilities in Rancho Dominguez, Calif. and Danville, Ky.

The plant will primarily work on the Ultra-Silent Series and Super Silent Series portable generator line and also assemble the generator trailers.

The company plans to expand the plants technology in the future so that it will also manufacture the generators on-site.

MQ Power manufactures self-contained power generators ranging in size from 7kW to 2 MW.
