Clyde Bergemann awarded two new contracts

28 August 2006 -- Clyde Bergemann, Inc. has been awarded a contract from Alstom Power to supply the on-load boiler cleaning system for Xcel Energy's Comanche 3 project in Pueblo, Colo. The unit is an 800-MW clean coal ultra-supercritical PC fired boiler.

The company also announced a contract with Lower Colorado River
Authority to supply Intelligent Sootblowing Systems (ISB) to all three units at Fayette Power Project in La Grange, Texas. This agreement includes direct measurement instrumentation such as heat flux sensors and Super Heater Fouling Monitor for discrete slag detection, and indirect measurement of fouling using a proprietary thermodynamic model. Clyde Bergemann will integrate these ISB systems with the plant DCS systems.
