Western Energy Systems to serve as GE's gas engine systems distributor

10 August 2006 -- Western Energy Systems has been appointed the GE Energy distributor for Jenbacher Gas Engine Systems in California, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii. Focusing solely on gaseous fueled engine and power generation systems, Western Energy Systems, which focuses on gas-fueled power generation systems, will provide application, sales engineering, systems integration and parts and service capabilities.

On a combined basis, Western Energy Systems and Northeast Energy Systems now represent the largest GE Energy Jenbacher distribution in North America. Western Energy Systems is currently operating from a facility housing sales, engineering, parts warehousing, and service operations in Brea, California, while Northeast Energy Systems is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa.

Al Clark, Vice President/General Manager for both Western and Northeast Energy Systems, commented, "We are extremely proud and privileged to be associated with Jenbacher Gas Engine Systems. Since 2005 we have been their Northeast region distributor and feel that the strength of our sales, engineering, and product support groups, coupled with GE Energy's support, has enabled us to be extremely proactive in working with Jenbacher customers. Now, with our combined capabilities we can offer our customers expanded application engineering, parts, and service support in both the northeastern U.S. and west coast markets."
