Riley Power to supply NOxburners to Iowa coal plant

12 July 2006 -- Riley Power Inc. , a subsidiary of Babcock Power Inc., announced today that it was recently awarded a contract to supply low NOx burners to MidAmerican Energy Company for Unit 3 at their coal-fired Council Bluffs power plant.

RPI's scope includes the design, supply and installation of 56 new low NOx Controlled Combustion Venturi (CCV) Dual Air Zone (DAZ) burners and an overfire air system for the existing boiler with a contract value in excess of $8 million. In addition, RPI will provide on-site technical direction, training and commissioning services throughout installation and startup.

MidAmerican Energy Company is the largest utility in Iowa and provide service to large communities in the midwest United States such as Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Sioux City, Waterloo, Iowa City and Council Bluffs, Iowa; the Quad Cities area of Iowa and Illinois; and Sioux Falls, S.D.
