PSEG Power's 1,220-MW combined-cycle project begins operation

1 May 2006 -- PSEG Power has completed construction and testing of the Linden, N.J. Combined Cycle Energy Project and the 1,220-MW natural gas fired facility has been placed in commercial operation.

The new facility is located in Linden (Union County) New Jersey, US, and will provide the state and region with a new source of energy. The new facility replaces 430 MW of oil-fired steam capacity at the site.
