El Paso Corp. closes sale of Macae Power Facility for $358 million

27 April 2006 -- El Paso Corp. announced today that it has closed on the previously announced sale of its interest in the Macae power plant in Brazil to Petrobras for approximately $358 million. Additionally, El Paso has prepaid approximately $229 million of non-recourse Macae project financing from these proceeds.
