VA Tech T&D wins Greek turnkey contract

21 December 2004 - VA Tech Transmission and Distribution (VA Tech T&D), a subsidiary of VA Tech, is to build two turnkey substations in the Larissa area after being awarded a contract from the leading Greek energy supply company Public Power Corporation (PPC).

The €4m contract will include VA Tech T&D supplying two outdoor substations and includes all erection work, the supply and assembly of all components as well as commissioning of the plant.

VA Tech T&D will also supply a 50 MVA power transformer, a protection and control system as well as all auxiliary equipment for both facilities. Completion is planned for 2006.
