E.ON renews credit facility

9 December 2004 - E.ON AG has agreed a €10bn ($13.25bn) syndicated credit facility with an international group of banks. The successful transaction was oversubscribed by more than 50 per cent.

The binding credit commitment with a syndicate of 39 banks replaces E.ON's existing €12.5bn credit facility. E.ON currently has no plans to draw under the new facility.

E.ON AG Chief Financial Officer Erhard Schipporeit commented the transaction: "By securing this new credit facility, E.ON is taking advantage of the currently favourable terms on the corporate debt market. The syndication went very smoothly, reflecting the great confidence that E.ON enjoys in the international financial market."
