Wärtsilä centres Swedish activities

16 November 2004 - Wärtsilä Sweden AB is to relocate its service, maintenance and spare parts sales activities to Gothenburg, the largest port in the Nordic region.

Wärtsilä's units from Gothenburg and Trollhättan have already moved to the newly renovated premises in the Lindholmen region along with approximately 140 employees. Several of Wärtsilä's sub-suppliers and partners also have their operations in or around the same area.

Wärtsilä says that relocating Sweden AB, which delivers spare parts, maintenance and services for Wärtsilä engines running on diesel or natural gas as well as complete propulsion systems and power plant and marine applications, is a strategic move in line with its focus on Total Service.
