Mitsubishi Corp plans US plant purchases

28 October 2004 - Japanese trading house Mitsubishi Corporation is reported to be buying two power plants in the USA from American independent power producer, Intergen North America.

The combined output capacity of the natural gas-fuelled Indigo and Larkspur plants, located on the outskirts of Palm Springs
and San Diego respectively, is 230 MW.

Mitsubishi Corp is developing operations as an independent power producer mainly in the US. and Mexico. The two new plants, located in the state of California will give the firm a total power output capacity of 3.8 GW.
