Toyota Tsusho to sell Vestas equipment to Taiwan

26 October 2004 - Japan's Toyota Tsusho Corp. is to market wind power generation equipment in Taiwan through a joint venture it has established with partners, including subsidiary Vestech Japan Corporation, which imports and markets wind power generation equipment in Japan.

This joint Taiwanese firm, which is capitalized at 6.25m New Taiwan dollars ($185,000), has acquired import and sales rights from Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a major Danish manufacturer of wind power generation equipment.

The Taiwanese joint venture will market Vestas' equipment to power producers in Taiwan, chiefly selling large equipment capable of generating 2 000kw.
