8 October 2004 - Yesterday (Thursday), Alexej Miller, CEO of OAO Gazprom, Wulf H. Bernotat, CEO of E.ON AG, and Burckhard Bergmann CEO of E.ON Ruhrgas AG, met in Moscow to discuss details of their cooperation in the power and gas sector fixed in July.

They all agreed that the detailing of the power and gas projects fixed in their memorandum of understanding of July 8, 2004 is making good progress. In this context, particular attention was being paid to the prospects of their future cooperation in strategic projects dealing with gas production in Russia, gas transportation to Europe, electricity generation in Russia and the expansion of the necessary infrastructure to market natural gas and electricity in Europe.
