Lawrenceburg Energy Project begins commercial operation

3 June 2004 - PSEG Power has completed construction of the Lawrenceburg (Indiana) Energy Project and the 1096 MW natural gas-fired, combined cycle plant has begun commercial operation.

The state-of-the-art facility, located in the City of Lawrenceburg (Dearborn County), will provide Indiana and the region with a new source of clean, efficient, environmentally responsible energy and will be a long-term source of employment and economic activity for the community.

Duke Fluor Daniel served as primary construction contractor.

PSEG Power, a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG), is one of the nation's largest independent power producers. With the addition of the Lawrenceburg Energy Project, Power will have in operation more than 14,000 MW of coal, nuclear, oil, and natural-gas fired generating capacity with approximately 2,000 megawatts of capacity under construction.
