19 April 2004 - The Huong Son Joint-Stock Company in Vietnam is investing VND834.8bn ($52.8m) in the construction of a hydroelectric power plant. Located in Huong Son district, the 42 MW plant is designed to generate 193.1 GWh annually.

The firm is expected to post more than VND100bn in revenue a year when the plant goes on steam in 2007.

The Huong Son Joint-Stock Company was set up by the Construction Mechanical Engineering Corporation, Power Company 1, the Ha Tinh minerals and Trade Corporation and the Urban Infrastructure and Communication Construction Investment Corporation.
