16 April 2004 - Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co. said today that it has received an order to build India's largest thermal power stations.

The $370m project tendered by the National Thermal Power Co. is to build three 660 MW steam power plants on a turnkey basis in Sipat, Chattisgarh, by early 2009, the

"The Indian government plans to designate the boilers as a standard model for its future thermal power plants, Doosan said.
